Left-wing journalists are getting arrested for sexual and child abuse and pedophilia charges. Former CNN producer John Griffin was sentenced to 19 years in jail for sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl. Meanwhile, ABC producer James Gordon Meek has been jailed for six years after being convicted of possessing inappropriate images of minors.
Last week, a former journalist and talk show host was arrested on child sex crime charges in Massachusetts for allegedly bragging in private text messages that they came close to having a sexual encounter with a teenager in their neighborhood. Slade Sohmer, 44, the former managing editor of CNN‘s now-defunct BEME video-sharing app and, until a month ago, editor-in-chief of the left-leaning video-driven news site the Recount, was freed on $100,000 bail on Monday after he was charged in a Massachusetts court with possessing and disseminating “hundreds of child pornography images and videos.”
He has pled not guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of dissemination of child pornography. A magistrate judge said he was not allowed to access the Internet or have contact with anyone under the age of 18 while he was on pre-trial release.
Not only was PizzaGate real… it is still happening today!

The police executed a search warrant on his East Otis home, where they seized numerous phones and computers from Sohmer and his roommate, whom the Desk is not identifying at this time because that person has not been charged with a crime. According to law enforcers, Sohmer willingly gave them his password to at least two Apple iPhones that were later examined by forensic investigators.
They found more than 1,300 pornographic images and videos, hundreds of which involved children. Investigators were confident that more than 50 videos allegedly pulled from the devices showed undressed children engaged in sexual activity. At least eight kids have been identified by police and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), an advocacy group that works with law enforcement to combat child sex crimes.
A 24-page police affidavit that was written and filed in support of an arrest warrant for Sohmer indicated that he used several apps, including Snapchat, to exchange child sex abuse material with people online. At times, Sohmer allegedly used the app to work with children as young as 12 years old to produce their videos for him. One of those videos was found, police allege, while details of his other videos were relayed in a one-on-one conversation with an unknown person through the encrypted app Telegram.
During that same conversation, Sohmer allegedly confessed to luring a 14-year-old boy in his neighborhood into having an in-person sexual encounter with him, according to excerpts revealed in the affidavit. He allegedly said he tricked the teenager into meeting up by posing as a girl in an online chat room, where he arranged to meet the boy near a public park restroom. Sohmer purportedly said he went to the park and saw the teenager, but he ultimately chickened out, the logs show. An investigator who included details of the conversation in their affidavit did not say whether they had evidence proving the situation actually took place.

In other conversations, Sohmer claimed to have lured other teenagers into performing sex acts for him over Snapchat, including a 15-year-old from Germany and a 13-year-old who was on a road trip with his parents.
Sohmer has been well-known for yellow journalism or sensationalism and attacks on conservatives. His video journalism platform has been making money by targeting “conspiracy theorists” — primarily people who stood against the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) mandates and forced vaccination. Sohmer also made waves in 2018 as he was featured in an article titled “People Are Touched By This Writer’s Conversation With A Bunch of Fourth Graders,” with the subhead that read: “Kids are books filled with blank pages.”
On May 11, 2018, Slade Sohmer wrote on his social media that he was invited to his mother’s fourth-grade classroom to mark the “perfect confluence of Teacher Appreciation Week and Mother’s Day.” He addressed a class of fourth graders about his homosexuality. Sohmer’s mother, Susan Sohmer, worked at New Hyde Park Road School on Long Island and taught the said group of students.
Sohmer recalled the personal questions that he was asked by the kids, including: “What’s the happiest moment of your life? ” “Do you have a girlfriend?” “Do you have a wife or kids?” The last question was: “Who do you live with?”
According to his post on X, formerly Twitter, that was screen captured by the New York Post, Somer answered the children, right after he got a nod from his mother, that he “was living with his boyfriend.” After his face reddened and “the air flew out of the room for a split second,” Sohmer wrote that he was relieved that “none of these precocious f**kers, like, give a s**t.”
BuzzFeed covered the story and it was still live as of Tuesday on the site. But now, the piece has been removed from the website. It is still available on the Wayback Machine internet archive, though.
